Philomusica Welcomes New Members in Spring and Fall! An auditioned community choir, Philomusica seeks central NJ singers with good reading skills for May and December concerts. Rehearsals take place every Monday until concerts, with additional site rehearsals on Monday and Wednesday two weeks prior to the concert dates. December 6 & 7, 2008 “Christmas Through the Ages,” features an a cappella performance of Renaissance to 20th century works by Hans Leo Hassler, Tomás Luis de Victoria, Arvo Pärt with selected carols. May 16 & 17, 2009 “In Praise of Love,” features Daniel Pinkham’s Wedding Cantata, Morten Lauridsen’s Mid-Winter Songs, Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes with 4-hand piano and more. Audition by appointment before and after initial Monday rehearsals each semester, 7:30–10p.m. at The Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick.
